BEEHIVES & HONEY
It's what people need that matters
In the Eastern Highlands of Papua New Guinea and other Third World countries, Global Aid is providing beehives to the local people to enhance their financial opportunities.
The process
The beehives are supplied without charge, complete with bees – protective clothing and a smoker. Education and training is provided for the beekeepers as well as quarterly supervision.
The benefits of this program
Bees work every day and provide cross pollination for the village gardens. The beekeeper not only introduces a new and vital food nutrient to the district, but also develops further financial opportunities for the local villagers.
